Aramis

Aramis quartz is similar to real concrete.

Description

Aramis quartz is an industrial, cultivated countertop with superior maintenance and finish. The finish has a patina that is enhanced with wear over time. This attribute is similar to real concrete, but with Aramis, you have the durability of a quartz surface including scratch resistance and a non-porous surface.

Quartz is a naturally manufactured material with more than 93% of its components being natural and a small quantity of components added to maintain the right colour and consistency. For manufacturing worktops, quartz is cut into a smaller piece, the edges and surface are treated.

Quartz worktops are durable, water-proof, easily maintained and, with appropriate maintenance, can have a very long lifetime.

Quartz is not a UV-resistant material and its colour may fade over time if exposed to direct sunlight.

Maintenance

Daily cleaning

We recommend the use of a damp (microfiber) cloth, warm water and, if required, a pH neutral detergent, a slightly alkaline (pH 8-10) or a slightly acidic (pH 4-6) detergent for daily cleaning. Detergents especially designed for the purposes of quartz maintenance should be preferred.

We do not recommend the use of abrasive or very acidic or bleach-containing detergents.

Preventing and removing stains

Protect the worktop against stains. Keep chemicals and corrosives away from the worktop.

We recommend that stains are removed immediately with kitchen paper, water and washing liquid. With more stubborn stains, we recommend the use of special quartz scouring preparations. We recommend that after using the preparation, the worktops are washed again with water and detergent. A suitable preparation can be obtained from Diapol or, depending on the country, from a retail network.

Preventing heat damage and scratches

Since quartz is not completely heat resistant and can withstand heat only for a short period, we recommend that you always use heat shields to prevent heat damage.

Quartz is comparatively scratch-proof but we recommend that you always use cutting boards.

Long-term maintenance

Polished surface quartz worktops do not need to be treated with an impregnating agent since quartz does not absorb liquids. With regular use, the other worktop surfaces also do not require treatment with an impregnating agent.
